I've been around, just on a different planet. I'm still working in the art, doing some mural work, some commission work and just stuff for myself. I'll try to upload something recent. I am alive, well, and after 13 months of wearing 12 hats to run this studio I am... moving my downtown studio back home again. After the year of partial good business, mostly bad economy, it made no sense to keep going into the red.
I have a sister who needs my help with her situation. She has stage 4 breast cancer and is fighting hard. I want to help her as much as possible while I can. As far as the studio classes, they will have to form and run from my home studio. I just don't have the energy to be in three places at one time anymore. Keep Diane in your prayers and thoughts. I am excited to say it is going slightly better than I'd expected with the dumpy economy. But I could do to sell some works to help with the utilities in this big space, and an unexpected kiln repair.
News on My former land lady: she still didn't settle at the second settlement hearing, so the case is going to bench trial on May 22. My lawyer doesn't think she'll file for bankruptcy to pose as "uncollect-able" in court, but I do. I only hope I am wrong. This story has gone on long enough to write a novel
